Vice President of Sales

Job Summary

Martin Yale Industries is seeking a dynamic, growth-oriented Vice President of Sales with a strong focus on business development and revenue expansion to lead go-to-market strategy across its portfolio of market-leading brands.

This executive will be responsible not only for managing existing revenue streams, but more importantly for identifying, developing, and closing new business opportunities across direct, dealer, OEM, and strategic account channels. The VP will play a critical role in expanding market share, entering new verticals, and building long-term, high-value partnerships across the print, packaging, marking & coding, finishing, and office solutions markets.

The VP will lead a high-performing team spanning Customer Service, Direct Sales, Dealer Development, and OEM Relationships, while working cross-functionally with Operations, Marketing, Product Management, and Executive Leadership to drive sustainable growth.

Responsibilities

Business Development & Revenue Growth

  • Own and aggressively drive revenue growth across all Martin Yale brands and product lines.
  • Lead the company’s business development strategy, identifying and closing new opportunities in core and adjacent markets.
  • Develop and execute multi-channel sales strategies across direct sales, dealers, distributors, OEM partners, and national accounts.
  • Proactively pursue and secure new strategic partnerships, OEM relationships, and enterprise-level accounts.
  • Build and maintain a robust pipeline with strong discipline around prospecting, forecasting, and conversion metrics.
  • Identify and capitalize on emerging opportunities in print production, finishing, packaging, and marking & coding markets.
  • Lead commercialization and market entry strategies for new product launches.
  • Champion a hunter sales culture focused on new logo acquisition and market expansion.
  • Ensure effective utilization of CRM tools to drive visibility, accountability, and growth.

Dealer, OEM & Channel Development

  • Expand and strengthen dealer, distributor, and OEM partner network with focus on new partner acquisition.
  • Develop strategic OEM and private-label partnerships that unlock new revenue streams.
  • Create scalable dealer programs and pricing strategies that drive profitable growth.

Team Leadership & Culture

  • Lead and develop a high-performance team across Customer Service, Direct Sales, and Channel Management.
  • Instill a culture of accountability, urgency, and proactive business development.
  • Align inside sales, field sales, and channel teams around common growth objectives.

Strategic & Cross-Functional Leadership

  • Collaborate with Operations, Engineering, and Marketing to align product development with market opportunities.
  • Provide market intelligence on competitive dynamics and customer needs.
  • Support strategic initiatives including new market entry and partnerships.
  • Lead forecasting and planning processes.

Executive Leadership

  • Serve as a key member of the Executive Team, contributing to company strategy, growth, and profitability.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university required.

  • 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in sales and business development.
  • Proven track record of driving new business growth and securing strategic partnerships.
  • Experience managing multi-channel sales organizations.
  • Strong capital equipment sales experience.
  • Deep understanding of print, packaging, finishing, and marking & coding markets.
  • Experience launching hardware and consumables product portfolios.
  • Strong financial and business acumen.
  • Willingness to travel 40%+ and maintain corporate presence.
