The Vice President, Procurement's role is to oversee all activities involved in the acquisition, production and distribution of the organization’s supplies and equipment.
Essential Functions:

Manage and create procurement policies, procedures and programs with a focus on their ability to enhance organizational value and efficiency.

Collaborates with other departments and stakeholders to identify and maintain resources needed to establish and provide an effective supply chain.

Oversee the implementation of standardization programs for all supply chain functions, master file standardization, online requisitioning, and managing disaster supplies and processes, ensuring Oceans is prepared for disasters.

Establishes performance metrics for measurement, comparison, or evaluation of factors affecting the supply chain.

Develop a centralized procurement program that adds value and efficiency to the organization.

Monitors the performance of suppliers, assessing their ability to meet quality and delivery requirements; identifies and qualifies new suppliers in collaboration with other departments.

Performs other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
Education/Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in business or related field or equivalent work experience in supply chan. Master’s degree preferred. At least three years’ experience in supply chain or related field.

Work Environment:
Subject to many interruptions. Occasional pressure due to multiple calls and inquiries. This position can be high paced and stressful; must be able to cope mentally and physically to atmosphere. Work requires spending approximately 90% or more of the time inside a building that offers protection from weather conditions but not necessarily from temperature changes.
