Vice President Project Finance

Job Title: Vice President - Project Finance

Location: Riyadh (KSA)/ Dubai (UAE)


Position Overview:

Tamasuk is seeking an experienced Vice President - Project Finance to lead and execute critical financing tasks typically performed by external advisors. This role requires expertise in managing end-to-end project finance processes, including debt raising, financial modeling, and stakeholder coordination, for infrastructure and PPP projects. The VP will play a pivotal role in driving successful financial closures and optimizing project outcomes.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Debt Raising & Financing:

  • Lead the debt-raising process, including preparing debt memoranda, engaging with banks, negotiating terms, and finalizing financing documents.

  • Build, strengthen, and maintain relationships with sponsors, lenders, and external advisors, ensuring effective collaboration throughout the financing lifecycle.

  • Proactively identify and develop relationships with potential new lenders to diversify funding sources and enhance financial flexibility.

  • Financial Modeling & Analysis:

  • Oversee the development and optimization of financial models, ensuring alignment with project objectives.

  • Conduct comprehensive financial analyses, evaluating debt and equity structures, returns, and risk scenarios to support investment decisions.

  • Project Finance Execution:

  • Manage the full project financing process, from EOI and RFP issuance to bid submission and financial close.

  • Coordinate inputs across legal, technical, and financial advisors, ensuring accuracy and alignment with project requirements.

  • Strategic Guidance & Team Leadership:

  • Provide strategic insights on financing strategies, bid optimization, and risk management to senior leadership.

  • Mentor and guide junior team members, fostering a culture of excellence and collaboration within the project finance team.

  • Post-Deal Management:

  • Support post-deal activities, including compliance with financial covenants and optimizing project performance.


Requirements:

  • Experience & Expertise:

    • 7+ years of experience in project finance, investment banking, or financial advisory, with a proven track record of closing large-scale infrastructure transactions.

    • Strong financial modeling skills, including scenario analysis and optimization.

    • In-depth knowledge of project finance principles, PPP structures, and financing documentation.

  • Skills & Competencies:

    • Exceptional negotiation, stakeholder management, and communication skills.

    • Strategic thinker with strong analytical abilities to assess risks and returns.

    • Proactive, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently.

  • Added Advantage:

    • Existing relationships with regional banks (KSA), advisors, and lenders.

    • Experience with investment banking, private equity, or project development.
