The VP of Operations is responsible for providing strategic leadership and overseeing the operational management of Allied’s Recovery product suite. The role is focused on ensuring the scalability, compliance, and profitability of these products while driving the execution of operational strategies that align with Allied’s broader growth objectives. This is accomplished by leveraging technology, optimizing processes, and fostering talent development to deliver best-in-class service.

In this capacity, the VP of Operations manages and refines the processes and procedures crucial to the effective delivery and ongoing support of the Recovery product suite. The position also involves close collaboration with the Product, Technology, and Distribution teams to ensure that the necessary operational infrastructure is in place to support continued growth and expansion.

A strong emphasis is placed on operational performance, utilizing analytics and a comprehensive understanding of expense and revenue dynamics.

Additionally, collaboration across all levels of the organization, as well as with external stakeholders and partners, is a critical component of the position, ensuring alignment and support for Allied’s strategic objectives.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

Operational Excellence and Risk Management – 30%

  • Meet or Exceed all established service levels for work completed including Client specific business rules while driving continuous improvement through process automation.
  • Develop and execute strategic plans to maximize recovery rates while balancing cost efficiency and customer experience.
  • Champion innovation by evaluating and integrating new technologies, platforms, and methodologies to enhance operational effectiveness.
  • Establish and maintain a strong risk culture that helps identify, measure, and mitigate operational risks.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and 3rd party (Partner, Carrier, Regulator, etc.) audit standards, maintaining up-to-date documentation and audit readiness.
  • Lead cross-functional collaboration to streamline recovery processes and resolve complex issues.

People Leadership and Organizational Development – 25%

  • Build and maintain a high-performing team through strategic staffing, motivation, training, coaching, and performance management.
  • Foster a culture of accountability with a focus on measurable performance outcomes.
  • Ensure team alignment by establishing a comprehensive understanding of the organization’s vision, goals, policies, and strategies.
  • Maintain a professional atmosphere of teamwork and open communication.
  • Manage change by creating an environment that promotes the generation of creative ideas and solutions.
  • Educate and develop leaders that understand the strategic vision of Allied products to include operational process and financial goals.

Client Experience and Relationship Management - 15%

  • Oversee operational delivery to ensure superior client experience for Recovery products.
  • Engage with internal and external stakeholders to collaborate and continuously improve Recovery product outcomes.
  • Support vendor management process, including selection, onboarding, performance evaluation, and ongoing relationship management with partners.
  • Travel to client sites for business meetings.
  • Attend industry conferences to represent Allied and to create connections that benefit Allied’s products and services.

Performance Tracking & Reporting – 15%

  • Oversee the monitoring and consistent publication of key operational metrics for all Recovery Products.
  • Deliver regular, insightful reports to executive leadership that identify trends, assess risks, and uncover opportunities for operational enhancement.
  • Continuously enhance client-facing reporting by integrating feedback from clients, prospects, and Allied’s client engagement teams.

Personal Growth – 15%

  • Increase working knowledge of key Allied products and services (non-Risk Mgmt.) that directly and indirectly interact / impact Recovery products.
  • Develop a deep understanding of how Risk Mgmt products and services interact and impact each other.
  • Attend industry and Allied conferences to increase personal knowledge of the full risk management ecosystem and Allied’s role in it.

Qualifications (Education, Experience, Certifications & KSA):

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • 11-13 years of work-related experience required.
  • 15+ years of work-related experience preferred.
  • 7-9 years of leadership experience required.
  • 10+ years of leadership experience preferred.
