Description:
The Vice President, Solution Architecture serves as a key member of the executive leadership team, responsible for shaping, developing, and delivering innovative, mission-aligned technical solutions across the company’s federal portfolio. This role blends deep technical acumen with strategic business insight, driving solution excellence that supports growth, innovation, and customer success across existing and target markets.
The VP, Solution Architecture partners closely with the VP of Federal Accounts, VP of Capture and Strategic Partnerships, and Technical Vice Presidents to design and deliver differentiated solutions that enhance competitive positioning, increase proposal win probability, and accelerate applied research, prototyping, and diversification. This position will be partially billable, requiring the attainment and maintenance of project clearance requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Solution Development

Lead the design and development of integrated technical solutions that address client mission needs and align with corporate strategy.

Partner with the VP of Federal Accounts to refine and evolve solution offerings for existing customers, ensuring technical alignment with mission priorities and contract objectives.

Collaborate with the VP of Capture and Strategic Partnerships to define and articulate innovative, compliant, and compelling solutions that improve probability of win (PWin) in competitive and sole-source pursuits.

Drive the creation of solution architectures, technical narratives, and discriminators for proposals, white papers, and customer briefings.

Lead and participate in technical orals presentations for new work opportunities.
Innovation, R&D, and Prototyping

Partner with Technical VPs and Delivery Leaders to identify, shape, and prioritize R&D, prototyping, and Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) initiatives aligned with customer demand and emerging technologies.

Foster a culture of experimentation, innovation, and rapid prototyping to advance differentiated capabilities across AI/ML, data science, cloud modernization, cybersecurity, and digital transformation domains.

Oversee technical strategy for sole source and direct award opportunities, ensuring solutions demonstrate technical merit, scalability, and measurable mission value.
Partnerships and Technical Enablement

Engage with key technology vendors and industry partners to identify integration opportunities and strengthen the company’s solution portfolio.

Serve as an advisor on emerging technologies, technical investments, and strategic solution direction.

Represent the company in technical forums, customer engagements, and industry events to strengthen brand credibility and thought leadership.
Operational and Leadership Excellence

Build and lead a high-performing solution architecture capable of delivering cross-domain innovation and enterprise-scale architectures.

Establish repeatable frameworks, templates, and processes for solution design to ensure consistency, quality, and scalability across pursuits.

Champion collaboration across delivery, capture, and technology teams to ensure alignment of corporate strategy, customer success, and innovation priorities.

Requirements:
- Education:
-
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field required;

Master’s degree preferred.

Experience:
- 15+ years of experience in technical leadership within federal contracting, systems integration, or technology services.
- Proven success developing winning technical solutions for federal proposals (both competitive and sole source).
- Strong understanding of the federal acquisition process, technology evaluation criteria, and proposal lifecycle.
- Deep experience architecting solutions across one or more technical domains such as cloud, data analytics, AI/ML, cybersecurity, digital modernization, or DevSecOps.
- Experience leading or contributing to R&D, prototyping, or SBIR initiatives preferred.
