Job Summary:

The Vice Principal – Nursing will assist the Principal in academic, administrative, and clinical management of the Nursing College/Institute. The candidate will ensure smooth functioning of academic programs, maintain regulatory compliance, and uphold the standards prescribed by the Indian Nursing Council (INC) and State Nursing Council.

Key Responsibilities:Academic Responsibilities:

• Assist in planning, organizing, and supervising academic programs.
• Monitor teaching-learning processes and ensure quality education.
• Guide faculty members in curriculum implementation and evaluation.
• Supervise preparation of lesson plans and academic schedules.
• Participate in admissions, examinations, and result processing.
• Encourage research activities and faculty development programs.

Administrative Responsibilities:

• Assist the Principal in overall administration of the institution.
• Maintain records and documentation as per INC and university norms.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory bodies and accreditation requirements.
• Coordinate with hospitals for clinical postings and training.
• Monitor student discipline and welfare.

Clinical & Training Responsibilities:

• Ensure effective clinical teaching and supervision.
• Maintain liaison with affiliated hospitals.
• Oversee clinical evaluations and practical examinations.

Leadership & Development:

• Mentor junior faculty members.
• Support institutional development activities.
• Promote continuous quality improvement initiatives.

Skills & Competencies:

• Strong leadership and administrative abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of INC norms and university regulations.
• Ability to manage academic and clinical operations effectively.
• Strong organizational and decision-making skills.

Eligibility Criteria:

• M.Sc. Nursing (Any recognized stream).
• Preference will be given to candidates specialized in Psychiatric Nursing or OBG Nursing.
• Minimum 5 years of teaching experience in a recognized Nursing Institution.
• Preference will be given to candidates from Meghalaya.

Salary according to the University Norms
