Responsibilities
- Offer empathetic crisis intervention and emotional support to victims during their most vulnerable moments
- Assist clients in understanding their rights and navigating complex systems such as child protective services, family law, and behavioral health services
- Coordinate with social service agencies, law enforcement, legal professionals, and healthcare providers to ensure victims receive comprehensive care
- Advocate on behalf of clients to secure safe housing, legal protection, counseling, and childcare resources
- Conduct assessments of client needs related to child welfare, family conflict, or behavioral health challenges
- Develop personalized safety plans and provide ongoing follow-up support to promote stability and recovery
- Maintain detailed case records while respecting confidentiality and privacy standards
Qualifications
- Experience working with children in sensitive or crisis situations, preferably within child protective services or childcare settings
- Strong background in crisis management and conflict resolution techniques
- Knowledge of child welfare laws, family law procedures, and behavioral health practices
- Proven ability to handle high-pressure situations with professionalism and compassion
- Excellent communication skills for engaging diverse populations and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams
- Background in social work or related fields is highly desirable
