Position Summary
The Victim Services & Program Support Coordinator provides support to survivors and families impacted by violence while assisting with the day-to-day operations of Purpose Over Pain (POP), a program of the St. Sabina Violence Prevention Center.
This position supports victim services, program coordination, community outreach, social media engagement, and administrative functions to help ensure the success of POP programming and community initiatives.
The ideal candidate is compassionate, organized, dependable, and committed to serving individuals and families impacted by violence in a trauma-informed environment.
Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesVictim Services Support
- Provide supportive communication and follow-up with survivors and families impacted by violence.
- Assist with referrals to community resources, counseling, and supportive services.
- Help families navigate victim compensation applications and available resources.
- Maintain confidential participant records and documentation.
- Support survivor support groups, healing events, outreach activities, and special programs.
- Assist with victim advocacy and family support efforts.
Program & Administrative Support
- Provide administrative support to the Executive Director.
- Assist with scheduling meetings, coordinating programs, and preparing for events.
- Organize participant files, reports, and program materials.
- Support ongoing Purpose Over Pain projects and initiatives.
- Assist with data entry, reporting, and program documentation.
- Help ensure compliance with program requirements and recordkeeping procedures.
Marketing & Community Outreach
- Assist with social media content creation and posting.
- Create flyers, newsletters, and promotional materials using Canva or similar platforms.
- Promote support groups, healing events, and community activities.
- Assist with outreach efforts to increase program participation and community engagement.
- Support community events, resource fairs, and awareness campaigns.
Qualifications
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Human Services, Psychology, Criminal Justice, Communications, or a related field preferred.
- Experience in victim services, community outreach, human services, case management, or administrative support preferred.
- Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism.
- Comfortable using social media platforms and design tools such as Canva.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint).
- Strong multitasking, time management, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
- Commitment to trauma-informed and survivor-centered practices.
- Reliable transportation required.
Work Schedule
- Primarily weekday business hours.
- Occasional evening and weekend hours required to support meetings, events, and community programming.
Additional Duties
- Participate in staff meetings, trainings, and professional development opportunities.
- Assist with special projects and events as assigned.
- Perform other duties as necessary to support the mission of Purpose Over Pain and the St. Sabina Violence Prevention Center.
About Purpose Over Pain
Purpose Over Pain (POP) is a survivor-led support and advocacy organization that provides emotional support, victim services, healing opportunities, and advocacy for families whose loved ones' lives have been taken by violence. POP helps survivors move from victim, to survivor, and from survivor to action while working to create safer and stronger communities.
Pay: $41,000.00 - $42,000.00 per year
