Position Overview

We're looking for a creative and enthusiastic Video Editing/Graphic Design Intern to join our team in Padi, Chennai. This internship is primarily focused on video editing with additional graphic design responsibilities. This is an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about visual storytelling and eager to gain hands-on experience in a professional creative environment. The ideal candidate will have basic video editing skills and a strong desire to learn and grow.

Key Responsibilities

Video Editing (Primary Focus - 70%)

• Assist in editing raw video footage into engaging content for social media, websites, and marketing campaigns
• Create and edit short-form video content for Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, Facebook, and other platforms
• Learn to add motion graphics, text overlays, transitions, and basic visual effects to video content
• Perform basic color correction and maintain visual consistency across projects
• Help edit promotional videos, explainer videos, testimonials, and brand content
• Incorporate background music, sound effects, and voiceovers into video projects under guidance
• Learn to optimize videos for different platforms and formats (aspect ratios, file sizes, specifications)
• Create video thumbnails and promotional graphics for video content
• Assist in managing and organizing video assets, footage libraries, and project files
• Collaborate with the creative team to understand project requirements and brand guidelines
• Learn industry-standard workflows and best practices in video editing

Graphic Design (Secondary Focus - 30%)

• Design social media graphics, posts, and stories for various platforms
• Create digital marketing materials including banners, ads, and promotional graphics
• Design presentations, infographics, and visual content for client presentations
• Develop brand assets and maintain visual consistency across all materials
• Create print-ready designs when required (flyers, brochures, posters)

Required Qualifications

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree/diploma in Video Editing, Film Making, Visual Communication, Graphic Design, Multimedia, or related field
• Basic to intermediate knowledge of Adobe Premiere Pro (MANDATORY)
• Familiarity with video editing concepts, cuts, transitions, and storytelling
• Basic knowledge of Adobe Photoshop for graphic design and thumbnail creation
• Understanding of different video formats and aspect ratios
• Creative mindset with an eye for detail and visual aesthetics
• Willingness to learn and take feedback constructively
• Ability to work in a team environment
• Good time management skills and ability to meet deadlines
• Basic communication skills in English
• Passion for creating video content and staying updated with social media trends
• Must own a laptop with sufficient specifications for video editing and bring it to the office daily (MANDATORY)

Preferred Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of Adobe After Effects for simple animations
• Familiarity with Adobe Illustrator for vector graphics
• Experience with Canva or other beginner-friendly design tools
• Basic understanding of color grading and correction
• Prior internship or project experience in video editing
• Knowledge of CapCut, Final Cut Pro, or other video editing software
• Personal YouTube channel, Instagram page, or portfolio showcasing video work
• Understanding of trending video formats on social media platforms
• Basic photography or videography skills
• Knowledge of Adobe Audition or audio editing
• Any certifications or online courses in video editing

Technical Requirements for Laptop

Your laptop should meet minimum specifications for smooth video editing:

• Processor: Intel i5 (7th gen or higher) / AMD Ryzen 5 or equivalent
• RAM: Minimum 8GB (16GB recommended for better performance)
• Storage: Minimum 256GB (SSD preferred for faster rendering)
• Graphics: Integrated graphics acceptable; dedicated GPU is a plus
• Operating System: Windows 10/11 or macOS
• Sufficient battery backup for a full workday

Compensation & Work Details

• Stipend: ₹7,000 per month
• Employment Type: Internship (Full-time)
• Duration: 3 months (with potential for extension based on performance)
• Work Schedule: Monday to Friday (9:30 AM - 6:30 PM)
• Start Date: Immediate or as per candidate availability

Location

Office-based internship in Padi, Chennai. Candidates must be able to commute to our Padi office daily.
