We're looking for a creative and tech-savvy video editor who eats, sleeps, and breathes the language of social video to create thumb-stopping video that captivates audiences and delivers powerful results.
The Role:
We are seeking a highly creative and proficient Mid-Level Video Editor to join our growing team. You are not just an editor, you are a visual storyteller who understands how to stop the scroll. Your playground is short-form content (Reels, Shorts, Meta & Google ads), and your toolkit includes both traditional editing mastery and cutting-edge AI video generation tools. You will be responsible for transforming raw footage and ideas into high-impact, engaging, and shareable videos that drive views, engagement, and growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Edit & Execute: Produce a high volume of compelling, polished video content for social media platforms, with a heavy focus on Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, and for Meta and Google ads.
- Master the Hook: Strategically implement visual hooks in the first 3 seconds to maximize viewer retention and engagement.
- Leverage AI: Utilize AI video generation and editing to create unique visuals, enhance footage, and streamline the editing workflow.
- Pace & Rhythm: Expertly control the pace and rhythm of edits to match platform trends and audience expectations, ensuring high energy and watch-through rates.
- Creative Ideation: Collaborate with the content and marketing teams to brainstorm and storyboard concepts that are native to each social platform.
- Asset Management: Source and manage various assets, including stock footage, music, sound effects, and graphics, ensuring all content is on-brand.
- Data-Informed Edits: Analyze video performance metrics to understand what works and iterate on future edits for continuous improvement.
- Maintain Quality: Ensure all final deliverables are of the highest technical and creative quality, optimized for each platform's specifications.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- 3-5 years of professional video editing experience, with a portfolio/showreel heavily featuring social-first, short-form video content.
- Expert proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere Pro required, After Effects & Photoshop strongly preferred).
- A keen understanding of "visual hooks," pacing, and storytelling techniques specific to short-form video.
- A strong portfolio that showcases impactful, creative edits—you can show us examples of your work that made a measurable difference.
- Excellent knowledge of current social media trends, audio trends, and platform-specific best practices.
- Ability to work efficiently, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- A collaborative spirit and excellent communication skills.
Bonus Points (Nice-to-Haves):
- Experience with motion graphics and basic animation.
- Basic color grading and sound mixing skills.
- Knowledge of viral marketing principles.
- Experience editing for YouTube (long-form) in addition to short-form.
