Job Roles:
- Edit and assemble raw footage into engaging news packages, bulletins, and special segments.
- Work closely with producers, reporters, and anchors to ensure timely delivery of edited content.
- Maintain consistency in visual style and storytelling across all news programs.
- Ensure all videos meet the channel’s editorial and technical standards.
- Manage and archive video assets systematically for future use.
Key Responsibilities:
- Footage Editing: Trim, cut, and assemble video clips using editing software like Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or Edius.
- Sound & Visual Enhancement: Adjust audio levels, color correct footage, and add transitions or effects to improve quality.
- Graphics Integration: Insert titles, tickers, lower-thirds, and other on-screen graphics as per the news format.
- Coordination: Collaborate with newsroom teams to meet broadcast deadlines, often under tight schedules.
- Quality Control: Review final edits to ensure accuracy, smooth flow, and adherence to editorial guidelines.
- Technical Handling: Handle various video formats and codecs suitable for TV and digital platforms.
- Backup & Archiving: Organize raw and edited files for easy retrieval and long-term storage.
- Breaking News Support: Quickly edit and publish urgent clips for live news or digital uploads.
