Job Purpose:

The Video Editor plays a crucial role in our studio department, serving as a creative and technical powerhouse responsible for transforming raw footage into compelling visual narratives across multiple client accounts. This position requires a versatile professional who can balance creative vision with technical precision while managing concurrent projects in a fast-paced advertising environment. The ideal candidate will contribute significantly to our agency's storytelling capabilities by delivering polished, brand-aligned video content across various platforms, formats, and client industries, all while staying ahead of evolving market trends and technological innovations in video production.


Responsibilities and tasks:

  • Execute end-to-end video editing for diverse client projects, transforming raw footage into compelling narratives that align with client objectives and brand guidelines
  • Create and optimize both short-form content (social media, digital ads) and long-form productions (brand films, documentaries) for multiple platforms including social, web, broadcast and events
  • Apply advanced editing techniques including minor color grading, minor motion graphics, text animation, and sound design to elevate production quality
  • Maintain mastery of industry-standard editing software while exploring and implementing AI-powered editing tools to enhance efficiency and creative capabilities
  • Manage multiple concurrent editing projects across different client accounts while adhering to tight deadlines and maintaining consistent quality
  • Collaborate with interdepartmental teams including directors, producers, creative directors, and copywriters to align editing style with overall creative vision
  • Provide editing-stage feedback to improve future production planning and communicate clearly about technical constraints and creative possibilities to non-technical team members
  • Develop and integrate custom visual elements including title sequences, lower thirds, and graphical elements that enhance storytelling and maintain brand consistency
  • Research and integrate emerging video trends and techniques relevant to client industries while staying current with platform-specific best practices
  • Estimate accurate time requirements for editing tasks and communicate proactively about project status, challenges, and timeline adjustments
  • Implement effective media management and organization systems throughout the post-production workflow


Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Applied Arts - Media, or a related field


Experience: 2-4 Years of experience in editing


Skills:

  • Proven record/ portfolio of work showcasing editing skills in long-form and short-form video content
  • Strong knowledge of post-production workflows
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously in a timely manner
  • Strong communication skills oral and written
  • Have experience utilizing AI tools and is up-to-date with the latest in that field
