Oliveda, part of the Olive Tree People family and a pioneer in waterless, olive‑tree‑based skincare and wellness, is looking for a Video Editor for turning raw footage into high-performing short-form videos for social platforms like TikTok, Reels, and YouTube Shorts. This role focuses on authentic, creator-style content that matches trends, feels native to each platform, and drives engagement and conversions.

Responsibilities

  • Edit and assemble raw footage into compelling short-form videos for paid and organic social.
  • Cut, trim, and sequence clips to create strong hooks, clear storytelling, and strong calls to action.
  • Add captions, on-screen text, transitions, music, sound effects, and simple graphics to enhance performance.
  • Adapt edits for different platforms, aspect ratios, and lengths (feed, stories, reels, shorts, ads).
  • Follow brand guidelines while keeping content feeling authentic and engaging.
  • Collaborate with marketing/creative teams on concepts, scripts, and shot lists.
  • Test multiple variations (hooks, lengths, CTAs, formats) and iterate based on performance data.
  • Stay up to date on social trends, sounds, formats, and editing styles in our niche.

Requirements

  • Proven experience editing short-form social content (TikTok, Reels, Shorts, etc.).
  • Strong portfolio of short-form video edits.
  • Motion graphics skills for animations and text treatments.
  • Proficiency in editing tools (Premiere Pro, Final Cut, CapCut, or similar).
  • Understanding of social media best practices: hooks, watch time, retention, and CTAs.
  • Ability to work quickly, manage multiple projects, and hit deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong eye for pacing, storytelling, and what feels “native” and not overly produced.

Nice to have

  • Experience in clean beauty, skincare, wellness, or supplements.
  • Familiarity with performance metrics and paid social (Meta/TikTok ads) to inform edits.
  • Interest in sustainability, holistic wellness, and conscious consumerism.

Job Details

  • Location: Onsite in Culver City, CA.
  • Type: Full‑time; reports to the VP, Marketing and Communications.
  • Compensation: $70,000 – $90,000 per year (commensurate with experience)
  • Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life & Health Insurance, plus 401(k)
