About Us

Safari Veterinary Care Centers is a world-class animal hospital with a studio-grade video control room and live camera feeds throughout the facility — showcasing remarkable animals, advanced diagnostic and therapeutic equipment, and real veterinary medicine. We also run the Safari Animal Sanctuary, home to wild and exotic animals. Our content reaches a large, engaged audience across TikTok and other platforms (@safarivet and @safarianimalsanctuary).

The Role

We’re looking for one person to own our video and social media production end to end — capturing footage, cutting clips, producing short- and long-form content, and running live streams from a broadcast-level studio (Blackmagic ATEM, PTZ cameras). You’ll also keep our automation system healthy: installing and maintaining a documented Python-based setup that drives the camera and streaming workflow. Programming experience isn’t required, but comfort with technology and a willingness to learn the system is essential.

• You’re fluent in internet culture, memes, and what makes short-form video work.
• You’re skilled with video — shooting, editing, and an eye for what’s compelling.
• You’re technically capable: comfortable installing software, following technical instructions, and maintaining a Python-based system (we’ll teach you the specifics).
• You take direction well and are eager to learn.
• You’re reliable and flexible — this isn’t a 9-to-5; weekends and occasional off-hours come with the territory.
• You want to grow with us and become part of the Safari culture.

• Have you ever written, edited, or run a script or piece of code — even something simple like a batch file, a Python script someone gave you, or automation inside an app? Briefly describe what it did.
• This job means being pulled into rooms and enclosures with dogs, cats, snakes, and exotic animals on short notice. Are you comfortable working physically around all of these?
• Describe your experience around animals — pets, livestock, wildlife, or exotics — and any you're not comfortable around.
• Have you operated a live video switcher (Blackmagic ATEM, OBS, vMix, TriCaster) or run a live stream? If yes, briefly describe the setup you ran.
• This is an on-site role in League City with some weekend and after-hours work. Are you able to work that schedule on a long-term basis?
• This role is run-and-gun — you shoot wherever the action is, not from a desk. Tell us about a time you captured footage in unpredictable conditions.
• Paste a link to your video or social content (reel, portfolio, TikTok/IG, YouTube).
