Video Storyteller

Accountability

Blue Orb is seeking a Video Storyteller to help build and amplify the company’s narratives across key audiences and platforms. This role supports the intersection of brand, strategy, and impact translating Blue Orb’s mission, projects, and value into clear, compelling stories for investors, partners, developers, and internal stakeholders.


You will be a key contributor to our narrative engine, transforming complex technical data, financial models, and community impact into structured, audience-first stories that advance our mission of bridging the renewable energy funding gap. You’ll work hands-on with content, interviews, and research to turn insights into stories that inform, inspire, and align.


Duties/Responsibilities

  • Own and articulate the core narrative of the brand across all channels and touchpoints
  • Translate complex ideas (strategy, impact, technology, value) into clear, compelling stories
  • Develop and maintain a central message framework (core story, pillars, proof points)
  • Ensure consistency of voice, tone, and positioning across content, design, and campaigns
  • Partner with other roles in IR, Marketing, Design, and Leadership to align storytelling with business goals
  • Shape narratives for different audiences (developers, investors, partners, internal team)
  • Guide campaigns from concept to execution with story-first thinking
  • Review and elevate content to ensure it is coherent, persuasive, and emotionally resonant
  • Use data, insights, and feedback to refine and strengthen narratives over time
  • Act as the internal guardian of the story, challenging work that lacks clarity or impact

Required Skills and Abilities

  • Proven experience in Scripting, video editing, campaign tracking, subject preparation.
  • Multimedia storytelling experience (video scripts, podcasts, webinars, long-form features)
  • A strong portfolio demonstrating narrative led storytelling is required.
  • Proven experience in storytelling, content creation, journalism, copywriting, or brand communications
  • Ability to synthesize complex or technical information into compelling narratives.
  • Background in investor communications or corporate storytelling.
  • Experience working cross-functionally with marketing, leadership, or technical teams
  • Comfortable working in a fast paced, remote and globally distributed environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, Journalism, Marketing, Creative writing, or a related field.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication in English

  • Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment and willingness to pivot when needed to achieve goals.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office pack, Teams and ClickUp.
  • Must have access to reliable internet with a minimum bandwidth of 3 Mbps.
  • Must have a dedicated work computer with minimum Windows 11or MacOS 13 and 8 gigabytes of RAM.
