Role Overview

The Video Streaming Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining video streaming systems to ensure reliable, scalable, and high-performance content delivery. This role requires strong technical expertise in streaming technologies, networking, and media encoding.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and manage video streaming infrastructure for live and on-demand content.
• Implement encoding, transcoding, and adaptive bitrate streaming solutions.
• Optimize video delivery across multiple platforms and devices.
• Monitor streaming performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure minimal downtime.
• Collaborate with developers, content teams, and network engineers to integrate streaming solutions.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards for video quality and security.
• Stay updated on emerging streaming technologies and recommend improvements.
• Document workflows and provide technical support to internal teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
• 3–6 years of experience in video streaming engineering or broadcast technology.
• Strong knowledge of streaming protocols (HLS, DASH, RTMP, WebRTC).
• Experience with media servers (Wowza, Nginx RTMP, Red5) and CDNs.
• Proficiency in video encoding/transcoding tools (FFmpeg, AWS Media Services).
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, innovation-driven environment.
