Videographer and Editor

Overview:

DS Media is a digital marketing agency seeking a part time Videographer and Editor. This is an entry level, part time position and does not necessarily require previous professional experience, though a portfolio or examples of previous work is preferred and encouraged. We are willing to train the right candidate with the appropriate basic skills.

This position is part time, per diem hours with the opportunity to expand to full time after tenure for the right candidate.

Primary job responsibilities include filming and producing short form and long form video content and other multimedia for distribution via social platforms such as Instagram and YouTube. Additional responsibilities include assisting the DS Media team with larger productions in varying capacities.

This position will be partly in-house at our office in South Portland as well as on location at various client businesses in the greater Portland area and beyond.

All necessary equipment will be supplied to the right candidate for use, including but not limited to multiple cameras, lighting, computers and software.

Responsibilities:

- Capture high-quality video footage using professional equipment
- Edit videos to create engaging and compelling visual content
- Collaborate with the DS Media team to develop content and marketing material, both for DS Media and the clients they represent
- Incorporate motion graphics and visual effects to enhance video projects
- Ensure all video content aligns with brand guidelines and objectives
- Manage post-production processes, including color correction and audio editing

Skills:

- Proficiency in videography and photography techniques

- Familiarity with Sony cameras is beneficial
- Strong knowledge of Adobe Premiere, Adobe Creative Suite, etc.
- Experience with motion graphics and post-production editing a plus
- Ability to bring creative ideas to life through video editing
- Familiarity with various video formats and codecs
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $16.00 - $21.00 per hour
