Videography & Video Editing Team – Roles & Responsibilities
- Pre-Event Planning & Coordination
- Understand the event theme, speaker profiles, and stage flow beforehand.
- Coordinate with the Event Director, Content Team, and Graphics Team to plan visual storytelling style, shoot schedules, and cinematic direction.
- Prepare equipment checklists and test lighting and audio setups prior to the event day.
- Event Day Videography
- Capture speaker talks with proper framing, audio clarity, and stable camera operation.
- Film behind-the-scenes, rehearsals, guest interactions, team coordination, and audience reactions.
- Take multiple angles (wide, mid, close-up) to support dynamic storytelling.
- Ensure lighting, exposure, and sound levels remain consistent throughout the event.
- Cinematic Storytelling & Event Coverage
- Record highlight moments, emotional interactions, stage transitions, volunteer activities, and pre/post-event atmosphere.
- Capture creative shots that reflect the event theme and energy.
- Ensure footage style resonates with the TEDx identity—clean, impactful, and visually purposeful.
- Video Editing & Post-Production
- Edit speaker talks into clean, polished final videos suitable for YouTube or TEDx submission.
- Create after-movies, promotional edits, reels, and recap videos for social media engagement.
- Perform color correction, color grading, sound syncing, sound enhancement, transitions, subtitles, and visual branding.
- Ensure final edits follow TEDx quality and branding standards.
- Collaboration with Graphics & Content Team
- Work with the Graphics Team for lower-thirds, motion graphics, intro/outro templates, and visual overlays.
- Align video storytelling with content narrative and marketing goals.
- Maintain consistent branding, color tone, fonts, and logo use as per TEDx guidelines.
- Archiving & File Management
- Organize raw footage and final edited versions systematically for future reference.
- Maintain secure backups of all recordings.
- Label files properly for easy access by the team or future TEDx editions.
- Event Day Technical Support
- Coordinate with the A/V & Stage Management Team to ensure:
- Display screens play videos smoothly
- No audio/visual glitches occur
- Playback timing matches speaker cues
- Make quick edits or last-minute adjustments if required.
