Title: Virtual Medical Assistant

Location: Remote Work (Open to the US-Territories: Puerto Rico, Guam, American Samoa, etc)

Position Summary:

The Virtual Medical Assistant (VMA) is responsible for supporting clinical workflows by preparing new patient charts, completing and transcribing referral information, and processing medical orders. The VMA ensures all required documentation is accurate, complete, and timely, supporting efficient patient care and clinic operations.

Key Responsibilities:

● Prepare charts for all new patients, ensuring all required information is accurate and up-to-date.

● Review, complete, and transcribe referral forms into patient electronic health records (EHR).

● Ensure that all referrals are fully filled out and ready for provider review.

● Process medical orders at the end of each day, verifying accuracy and completeness.

● Communicate with clinical staff to clarify or obtain missing information as needed.

● Maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA guidelines and all company policies.

● Support additional administrative and clinical tasks as assigned.

Qualifications:

● Prior experience as a medical assistant, preferably in a virtual or remote capacity.

● Fluent English Speaker

● Proficiency in Athena
