Role Description

We invite applications for the position of Visiting Faculty – Blockchain Technology & Data Science at our Mumbai branch located at Patkar–Varde College, Goregaon West.

The selected faculty will teach Blockchain fundamentals integrated with Data Science applications, enabling students to understand decentralized systems, smart contracts, and blockchain’s role in data security, transparency, and analytics.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver interactive lectures and hands-on practical sessions on Blockchain Technology and Data Science
• Cover topics including:
• Blockchain architecture and consensus mechanisms
• Smart contracts and decentralized applications (DApps)
• Data integration with blockchain systems
• Blockchain use cases in analytics and data security
• Guide students in applying data science techniques such as data cleaning, modeling, and visualization to blockchain datasets
• Develop, update, and maintain course content, lab exercises, assignments, and projects aligned with academic and industry standards
• Introduce students to real-world platforms such as Ethereum, Solana, and Hyperledger
• Mentor students in project-based learning, especially in blockchain applications across AI, IoT, and Big Data
• Stay updated with advancements in Web3, decentralized data systems, and blockchain ecosystems

Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, IT, or related disciplines
• Proven academic or industry experience in Blockchain Technology and Data Science
• Hands-on familiarity with blockchain platforms (Ethereum, Solana, Hyperledger)
• Programming experience in Python, Solidity, R (preferred)
• Knowledge of machine learning and data analytics frameworks is an added advantage
• Prior teaching or corporate training experience preferred
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Strong ability to simplify complex technical concepts for students

Experience (Preferred)

• 3+ years in higher education teaching
• 3+ years of hands-on experience in Blockchain Technology
