Job Description:
Reporting to the Director of Communications, the Visual Communications Designer will own the visual execution of the Loyola Blakefield brand through compelling, strategic communications that engage audiences across campus and beyond. This position will lead the design and production of a wide range of creative materials, including publications, promotional collateral, advertisements, signage, photography, social media graphics, and other digital assets. The Designer will also help shape Loyola's digital presence by creating engaging content and visual storytelling that captures the student experience, campus community, and mission of the school. The ideal candidate will bring a strong creative vision, exceptional design skills, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate effectively across departments to ensure Loyola Blakefield's brand is consistently and authentically represented across all communications.
Key Responsibilities:
Graphic Design & Creative Production
Create compelling visual communications that advance the school's brand across admissions, advancement, alumni relations, athletics, and institutional marketing initiatives.
Brand Stewardship & Creative Strategy
Help maintain and strengthen Loyola Blakefield's brand by ensuring consistency and excellence across all communications.
Department Collaboration & Support
Work collaboratively with colleagues across campus to deliver high-quality marketing and communications initiatives.
Storytelling & Community Engagement
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communications, Communications, Marketing, Digital Media, Fine Arts, or a related field. Equivalent professional experience and a strong portfolio demonstrating creative and technical design skills may be considered.
Experience: A minimum of 2+ years of professional experience in graphic design, visual communications, marketing, or a related creative field preferred. A strong portfolio demonstrating expertise in branding, print design, digital design, photography, and multimedia storytelling required.
