Visual Designer

We are seeking a highly creative and versatile Visual Designer to join our Marketing & Communications team. This role will oversee traditional graphic design work while staying at the forefront of modern design trends to bring fresh, innovative ideas to our school’s brand and communications. The ideal candidate is not only skilled in design but also brings strong photography expertise, with the ability to capture high-quality images for events, publications, and digital platforms. This position will work closely with the Head of Marketing & Communications, as well as the Performance Marketing Manager and Digital Marketing Manager, to deliver impactful creative solutions across all channels.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and produce visual assets for print and digital platforms including brochures, posters, newsletters, social media content, presentations, and school publications.
  • Maintain and evolve the school’s visual identity to ensure consistency and brand alignment across all communications.
  • Stay up to date with emerging design trends, tools, and technologies to keep the school’s visual communications innovative and engaging.
  • Collaborate with the Head of Marketing & Communications, Performance Marketing Manager, and Digital Marketing Manager to conceptualize creative campaigns and design solutions.
  • Design creatives for student recruitment campaigns across both digital and traditional channels.
  • Capture high-quality photographs at school events, ensuring images are suitable for use in official communications (digital, print, and media).
  • Manage and edit photography for use across various platforms, ensuring all visuals reflect the school’s professional standards.
  • Provide creative input into marketing strategies, campaigns, and communication projects.
  • Oversee production of design materials, liaising with printers, vendors, and suppliers as needed.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, or related field (or equivalent professional experience).
  • Proven experience as a Graphic or Visual Designer, preferably within education, marketing, or communications.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, After Effects, Premiere Pro, etc.) and familiarity with digital design tools (e.g., Figma, Canva).
  • Strong photography skills with experience in event and portrait photography, plus photo editing expertise. Hands-on experience with DSLR, lighting, and audio gear.
  • Creative thinker with the ability to develop innovative concepts and visual storytelling.
  • Strong understanding of branding, typography, layout, and visual hierarchy.
  • Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
