Visual Merchandiser - Job Description

A Visual Merchandiser is responsible for how a store looks and feels to customers. Their goal is to increase sales by making products attractive and easy to buy.

Main Responsibilities

Store display setup

Arrange mannequins, outfits, and product displays

Create eye-catching window displays

Visual standards

Follow brand guidelines (colors, layout, themes)

Maintain clean, organized store presentation

Product placement

Decide where items go (front display, racks, shelves)

Highlight new arrivals, promotions, and best sellers

Sales support

Design layouts that encourage customers to buy more

Change displays based on seasons or campaigns

Coordination

Work with store manager and sales team

Sometimes train staff on display standards

Trend awareness

Follow fashion trends and competitors

Update store visuals regularly

Skills Required

Creativity + fashion sense

Basic design skills (sometimes Photoshop)

Attention to detail

Retail experience

Communication & teamwork.
