Job Description

We are looking for a talented and creative Lead Visual/Graphics Designer to join our team. This mid-level role involves creating visually engaging digital assets, such as slick sheets, hallway monitors, and other web visuals, that align with brand guidelines and enhance communication goals. The position requires a collaborative approach, working closely with leadership to craft clear, impactful visuals using Adobe Creative Cloud Suite.

Requirements

  • U.S. Citizenship is required
  • Must possess an active TS clearance at the time of application, be willing and able to obtain SCI access, and pass a CI polygraph.
  • This position is onsite 5/days a week in Washington, D.C.

Qualifications And Experience

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in an applicable field
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in visual/graphics design. In absence of years of experience, certifications or past work may be used to show the level of experience needed to perform at this level.
  • Proficiency with Adobe Creative Cloud Suite (including Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and Lightroom).
  • Proficiency with Microsoft 365 suite (including Word, Excel, Outlook, Publisher, PowerPoint, and Teams).
  • Strong ability to develop creative concepts ensuring brand consistency.
  • Excellent research, planning, and design skills for cross-channel projects.
  • Exceptional writing skills for clear and concise content.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks with short deadlines and guide projects through various phases.

Responsibilities

Creative Concept Development:

  • Develops creative concepts that ensure brand consistency for senior leadership
  • Supports strategic planning by bringing awareness and recognition to the division.

Project Research And Design

  • Researches, plans, and designs multiple projects across different channels (print and digital) from initial concept through implementation.
  • Ensures alignment with project goals and audience needs.

Content Creation

  • Develops one-page slick sheets, hallway monitors, logos, and presentations.
  • Utilizes tools such as Adobe Creative Cloud Suite (including Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and Lightroom) and Microsoft 365 suite (including Word, Excel, Outlook, Publisher, PowerPoint, and Teams) to produce visual content.

Collaboration And Input Gathering

  • Gathers input from senior leaders, stakeholders, program managers, and subject matter experts.

Content Writing

  • Writes clear and concise content using language tailored to the targeted audience.
  • Ensures consistency in terminology, tone, formatting, and alignment following division standards.

Project Management

  • Works independently or with a team when needed and can handle multiple tasks with short deadlines.
  • Guides each graphic design project throughout the development, proofing, reviewing, and revision phases.

Customer Service

  • Serves the customer with professional expertise and extreme attention to detail.
  • Assists Government lead to implement division brand identity and advertises product and service designs.
