VMC / CNC MILLING - Programmer/Operator

We are looking for a CNC Operator to program and operate a CNC Milling MACHINE (VMC).

Responsibilities:

• Read blueprints
• Ability to run overhead cranes and safely operate machines
• Know the weight of the cut part and determine the weight of raw material components in order to transition material in a safe manner
• Basic computer knowledge of Windows-type operating system
• Perform daily operational checks and perform cleanup at the beginning and end of shifts
• Make minor adjustments to programs
• Ability to meet production schedule
• Download programs via disc, flash drive, or direct connect
• Experience with Mastercam software.
• Low quantity production. We change the setup weekly.
• Accurate completion of work orders based on the production schedule

EDUCATION / KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS:

• Ability to read, comprehend, and write English at an advanced level
• Advanced blueprint reading and problem-solving skills required
• Intermediate math skills (fraction/ decimal calculations)
• Tolerance/Fits calculations.
