Job Description: VGI Vocational Nursing faculty deliver approved nursing curriculum and hands-on clinical assessments in an applied learning environment. Your role is to facilitate engaging activities and discussions that cater to various learning styles while providing targeted mentorship.

Who We Are Looking For:

We are specifically seeking healthcare professionals with a background as a Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) who are ready to share their knowledge. If you are a dedicated nurse looking to transition from clinical practice into a mentorship role, we want to hear from you. Whether you've spent years in a hospital, home health, or long-term care, your experience is invaluable to our students.

Key Responsibilities:

• Instructional Delivery: Prepare and deliver high-quality nursing curriculum and facilitate hands-on clinical training in our labs and at partner clinical sites. Organize daily classes and lab sessions using creative, innovative, and evidence-based techniques.
• Mentorship: Provide personalized guidance to nursing students, helping them develop clinical judgment and professional bedside manner.
• Student Success & Retention: Provide timely and comprehensive advisement to students. Collaborate with our student services team to ensure students have access to tutoring and resources to ensure they graduate.
• Assessment: Administer clinical assessments and offer feedback to prepare students for the NCLEX-PN licensure exam.
• Ambassadorship: Act as a representative for VGI in the community. Demonstrate our core values of integrity, excellence, and service to students, clinical partners, and stakeholders.
• Compliance: Follow and comply with the Texas Board of Nursing, Texas Workforce Commission (Career Schools and Colleges), and ABHES Accreditation standards.

Requirements:

• Current, unencumbered Texas RN or LVN license is required.
• Current CPR certification.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in the field.
• Strong communication skills, empathy for the student journey, and a commitment to medical safety and excellence.
• Ability to work effectively with diverse populations.
