Join our vibrant early childhood education team as a Voluntary Pre-Kindergarten (VPK) Lead Teacher, where your passion for nurturing young minds will ignite a love for learning in preschool-aged children. Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive lesson plans aligned with preschool standards, including literacy education, math, physical education, and Montessori methods
- Foster a positive classroom atmosphere through effective/positive reinforcement behavior management and child welfare practices
- Engage children in age-appropriate activities that promote childhood development, early intervention skills, and social-emotional growth
- Utilize classroom management techniques to maintain an organized, safe, and inclusive learning environment
- Collaborate with families to support individual learning needs, including special education and toddler care considerations
- Conduct assessments using standardized testing tools to monitor progress and tailor instruction accordingly
- Incorporate early childhood education best practices such as curriculum development, tutoring, and preschool experience to enhance learning outcomes
Qualifications
- Prior classroom experience working with children in preschool or daycare settings is required
- Strong knowledge of childhood development principles and behavior management strategies
- Experience with curriculum development across various domains including literacy education, math, physical education, and Montessori methods
- Familiarity with special education needs and early intervention techniques is preferred
- Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with families, colleagues, and community partners
- Demonstrated ability to plan engaging lessons that support diverse learners’ growth and development
- Certification or credential in early childhood education or related field is highly desirable
- Passion for working with young children and dedication to fostering a nurturing learning environment

Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
Work Location: In person
