About Dashrath Putra Foundation (DPF)

Dashrath Putra Foundation is a grassroots social welfare organization working across India through four integrated pillars of Sewa:

• Animal Sewa – Ethical animal welfare including rescue, treatment, sterilization, deworming, feeding, and protection of street animals
• Sanatan Sewa – Temple-centric service, pilgrim assistance, and dharmic responsibility rooted in Indian values
• Nature Sewa – Environmental protection, cleanliness drives, and safeguarding public & sacred spaces
• Human Sewa – Community outreach, education, awareness, and support for underprivileged sections

With headquarters in Gurugram, DPF has already conducted on-ground surveys, welfare drives, and active interventions across multiple regions of India and is now expanding into full-time, structured Sewa operations nationwide.

About the Role

DPF is inviting Advocates and Legal Professionals to join us on a volunteer basis and support our Sewa initiatives with legal guidance, advisory, and representation, wherever required.

This role is ideal for lawyers who wish to contribute their legal expertise to social justice, animal welfare, community protection, and ethical governance.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide legal advice and guidance related to:
• Animal cruelty, welfare, and protection laws
• NGO compliance, notices, and documentation
• Community, civic, and public-interest matters
• Assist with drafting notices, complaints, representations, and legal opinions
• Support DPF in handling cases involving animal abuse, public welfare issues, or civic negligence
• Guide field teams on legal procedures and lawful interventions
• Coordinate remotely with DPF’s central team; field involvement only when required

Eligibility & Preferred Profile

• Qualified Advocate / Lawyer enrolled with any State Bar Council
• Strong understanding of Indian laws, especially:
• Animal Welfare laws
• IPC / CrPC basics
• Public Interest & civic regulations
• Commitment to ethical practice and social responsibility
• Ability to provide timely guidance (remote coordination acceptable)
• Prior experience with NGOs, PILs, or animal welfare cases is a plus (not mandatory)
