Job Description

We're looking for a kind-hearted volunteer to spend some quiet, meaningful time with one of our residents - a soft-spoken, friendly gentleman who has recently reconnected with his family through handwritten letters.

Your role? Simply sit with him as he reads his personal letters, chat about the news or the weather (his favourite topics), and help him write thoughtful replies. It's a gentle, rewarding way to support his renewed family connection and give him the confidence to express himself.

This opportunity would suit someone with patience, a warm presence, and an interest in conversation. Visits are fortnightly, with flexible days and times to suit your schedule.

A little time, a listening ear, and a steady pen can go a long way.

Your impact

We would be happy to discuss your availability Monday to Sunday between 9am and 5pm for an hour visit weekly or fortnightly.
