Volunteer Supervisor

Tri-County CASA is a non-profit organization located in El Dorado, Kansas. It is comprised of compassionate individuals volunteering their time to advocate for the best interest of abused and neglected children with an open case in the juvenile court system of the 13th Judicial District, serving Butler, Greenwood and Elk Counties.

We are looking to hire an outgoing, energetic individual to serve as a Volunteer and Child Advocacy Services Supervisor. This individual will be responsible for providing supervision to volunteers as they provide advocacy services to child abuse victims served by Tri-County CASA volunteers. .

This is a 40 hour per week position. Normal office hours will be Monday through Friday, but will also require some evening and weekend time.

Duties will include, but are not limited to the following:

• Provides supervision and evaluation of volunteers working with child victims
• Ensures volunteer support and education are sufficient to maintain volunteer retention
• Maintain volunteer and children's files
• provide volunteer services as needed
• Attend court hearings, case plan conferences, staff meetings, and trainings as required
• source and recruit candidates to serve as CASA volunteers through public speaking, promotional booths, social media, etc.
• Assess applicants' relevant knowledge, skills, experience and aptitude
• completes other assignments as requested and assigned

Must have the following:

• Excellent verbal and written communication, organizational and interpersonal skills
• Bachelor's degree in social service, criminal justice, or related field
• punctual
• Meets the requirements of federal and state criminal and abuse background checks, Including fingerprint check
• Ability to maintain full confidentiality
• Ability to occasionally travel locally from assignment to assignment
• valid driver's license and appropriate vehicle insurance

Pay: $19.00 - $22.00 per hour
