VP, Originals

Position Purpose Summary:

VP, Originals will represent the support of all aspects of original titles including development and current production. Collaborating with content production studios across all segments regionally and internationally, the position will play a critical role in the overall creative approach to original programming. The ideal candidate will have exceptional taste, knowledge and understanding of the Turkish and Arabic content landscape and experience in a comparable position shepherding development and current production for scripted and unscripted programming for SVOD/OTT platforms, studios and/or premium content services.

VP Originals will drive and deliver production needs for beIN Media Group Original content. He / She will partner with the creative teams and talents in all types of originals productions such as scripted series, film, unscripted shows, stand-up specials and documentary series and features as well as other cross-functional groups to support the successful launches of original content.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

• Lead the Originals team to develop and execute a differentiated, high-impact content slate across all our platforms.
• Manage relationships with production companies worldwide for beIN, TOD and other BMG production projects.
• Oversee the evaluation and selection of original content projects in collaboration with Originals Directors, ensuring alignment with audience insights, brand positioning, and platform strategy.
• Identify and pursue co-production opportunities with major production houses and strategic partners globally.
• Review and assess new original projects/content proposals sourced from production companies, creators, and other resources.
• Present new production projects together with the Chief Entertainment Content Officer to secure executive alignment and approval.
• Provide regular strategic updates to senior leadership on Originals performance, key opportunities, and risks.
• Manage the overall budget for originals for all BMG platforms; ensuring effective planning, cost control, and alignment with financial targets.
• Support initiatives that drive internal and external awareness of the Originals portfolio and maximise subscriber engagement.

Experience:

• 15 years of relevant entertainment-industry experience including 7 years in leadership role.
• At least 10 years of scripted long form content Production experience at a Production Studio, Network or Platform.

Minimum Language Level :

• Fluent English & Arabic in a business setting
• Conversational Turkish is preferable
