Pay range: $17.00 – $18.00 per hour
Schedule: Full-Time | Monday–Friday | (flexibility appreciated)

Kids In Motion is seeking an enthusiastic, experienced, and nurturing Lead VPK Teacher to guide our Voluntary Prekindergarten (VPK) classroom. If you're passionate about early childhood education, school readiness, and helping children build confidence before kindergarten, we'd love to meet you.

What You'll Do

As our Lead VPK Teacher, you will:

• Lead a classroom of preschool-aged children using the Florida VPK curriculum
• Create engaging, age-appropriate lesson plans that support kindergarten readiness
• Foster early literacy, language development, and social-emotional growth
• Maintain a structured, positive, and nurturing learning environment
• Conduct assessments and track student progress
• Guide classroom routines and implement positive behavior management strategies
• Build strong partnerships with families through regular communication
• Collaborate with fellow educators and support staff
• Ensure compliance with Florida VPK standards, DCF regulations, and licensing requirements

QualificationsRequired:

• 45-Hour DCF Child Care Training
• Ability to pass Level II Background Screening
• Strong classroom management and communication skills
• Passion for working with preschool-aged children

Preferred:

• Previous VPK, preschool, or early childhood teaching experience
• CDA
• CPR and First Aid Certification (or willingness to obtain)
