Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly, present menus, and assist with menu selections to enhance their dining experience
• Take accurate orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring clarity and attention to detail
• Serve food and beverages promptly while maintaining high standards of presentation and cleanliness
• Upsell menu items and specials to maximize sales opportunities while providing personalized recommendations
• Manage guest inquiries, resolve issues efficiently, and ensure guest satisfaction throughout their visit
• Handle cash transactions accurately, including cash handling and cashiering responsibilities
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards by bussing tables, cleaning work areas, and adhering to food safety protocols
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely food preparation and delivery in a fine dining or casual setting
• Support host/hostess duties when needed, including seating arrangements and managing reservations via OpenTable or similar systems
• Assist with food handling, food preparation, and sanitation tasks to uphold health regulations in the food industry

Qualifications

• Previous restaurant experience or food service background preferred; experience in fine dining or nightclubs is a plus
• Proficiency with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS; familiarity with OpenTable is advantageous
• Strong customer service skills with a friendly, energetic attitude and excellent communication abilities
• Ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
• Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures
• Basic math skills for cash handling, billing, and sales transactions
• Experience in serving or bussing tables, host/hostess roles, or guest relations enhances your suitability for this role
• Capable of standing for extended periods, lifting moderate loads, and working flexible hours including nights and weekends
