Key Responsibilities

1. Customer Service & Communication

  • Greet & Seat: Welcome diners, escort them to tables, and present menus.
  • Make Recommendations: Answer questions about menu items, daily specials, and dietary restrictions, or suggest pairings.
  • Take Orders: Accurately record food and beverage orders, noting any special requests or modifications.
  • Check-ins: Regularly check on tables during the meal to ensure satisfaction, refill water, and clear finished plates.

2. Food Delivery & Coordination

  • Liaise with Kitchen: Relay orders to the kitchen staff and communicate special instructions or allergy alerts.
  • Serve Orders: Deliver food and drinks from the kitchen to the tables in a timely and safe manner.

3. Billing & Payments

  • Prepare Checks: Generate and present the bill to the table at the end of their meal.
  • Process Transactions: Collect cash or credit card payments, make correct change, and process payments using the restaurant's Point of Sale (POS) system.

4. Maintenance & Side Work

  • Table Setup: Set and reset tables with clean linens, silverware, and glassware.
  • Cleanliness: Maintain the cleanliness of the dining room, ensuring floors, counters, and tables are tidy.
  • Stocking: Help stock service stations with napkins, straws, condiments, and cutlery.

Requirements & Skills

  • Physical Endurance: Ability to stand and walk for long shifts, as well as lift and carry trays and plates.
  • Communication: Exceptional verbal communication skills and a friendly, welcoming demeanor.
  • Multitasking: Ability to handle multiple tables simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Problem-Solving: Capability to manage customer complaints or errors calmly and professionally.

Pay: From QAR3,000.00 per month
