Position Statement:

The Florist Associate is responsible for assisting with the creation of floral arrangements B2B & B2C, maintaining fresh flower displays, and delivering excellent customer service. This role involves creativity, attention to detail, and a passion for working with plants and flowers. The ideal candidate should enjoy working in a team environment and be comfortable in a fast-paced retail setting.

Key Responsibilities:

· Greet customers warmly and provide personalized assistance with floral selections.

· Listen to customer & company needs and recommend flower types, arrangements, or gift options for various occasions (e.g., Catering orders, birthdays, weddings, sympathy).

· Take and process in-person, phone, and online orders efficiently and accurately.

· Ensure a clean, organized, and welcoming floral area.

· Create custom floral arrangements based on customer preferences and store standards.

· Handle customer concerns with patience, professionalism, and a positive attitude.

· Educate customers on flower care and arrangement maintenance.

· Stay informed about current floral trends and seasonal flowers to offer expert advice.

· Prior experience in customer service or retail is a necessary.

· Collaborate with the catering team to ensure floral décor aligns with table settings, venue layout, and overall event aesthetics.

· Maintain flower quality by trimming, watering, and storing arrangements properly in the shop always and before and during catering events.

Skills & Qualifications:

· Previous experience in floral design & customer service skills.

· Creative flair and an eye for color, detail, and design.

· Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

· A genuine love for helping people and making their day better.

· Ability to multitask in a busy retail setting.

· Detail-oriented, creative, and reliable.

· Support team members and contribute to a positive work environment.

· Background in hospitality, catering, or event planning.

· Knowledge of seasonal flowers and floral trends.

· Valid driver’s license for event travel/setup.

· Certified in flower safety and sanitation practices, ensuring proper handling, storage, and display

of floral materials in compliance with health and industry standards.

Other Duties:

· Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by event schedules.

· Flexibility with shifts and a willingness to pitch in where needed.

· To report for duty punctually wearing the correct uniform and name tag.

· To maintain a high standard of personal appearance and hygiene and adhere to the company and department grooming standards.

· To comply with local legislation as required.

· To respond to any changes in the department as dictated by the needs of the company.

· To be flexible in your job function and perform any other reasonable duties and responsibilities that may be assigned to you, including redeployment to other departments/areas if required, to meet business demands and guest service needs.

· Follow all company and local rules, policies, and regulations relating to fire and hazard safety, and security.

· To be well versed with the company safety and security procedures and be vigilant about observing and reporting anything unusual.

· Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and event managements is advantageous.

· Knowledge of flower safety and sanitation practices to maintain freshness and hygiene.

Pay: ﷼2,500.00 - ﷼3,500.00 per month
