Duties

• Greet guests warmly upon arrival and assist with seating arrangements using OpenTable or similar reservation systems
• Take accurate food and beverage orders, ensuring special requests are noted and fulfilled
• Use POS systems such as clover to process orders, payments, and handle cash or credit transactions efficiently
• Upsell menu items and specials to enhance guest experience and increase sales opportunities
• Serve food and beverages promptly while maintaining high standards of presentation and cleanliness
• Maintain knowledge of menu items, including ingredients, preparation methods, and food safety standards
• Assist with food handling, sanitation, bussing tables, and supporting kitchen staff as needed to ensure smooth operations

Qualifications

• Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments, preferably in fine dining or nightlife settings
• Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or OpenTable for reservations and order management
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to build guest relations and handle diverse needs gracefully
• Knowledge of food safety practices, sanitation standards, and proper food handling procedures
• Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks during busy hours
• Ability to upsell menu items effectively while maintaining a positive attitude
• Previous experience in serving, bussing, hosting/hostess roles or nightclub environments is a plus
• Basic math skills for cashiering and cash handling responsibilities
• Culinary experience or kitchen knowledge is advantageous but not required
