Waitress/server

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Server to join our team in providing exceptional dining experiences. The ideal candidate will have a passion for hospitality and a strong understanding of food service operations. This role requires excellent customer service skills, the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of food safety and sanitation.

Responsibilities

• Greet and seat guests in a friendly and welcoming manner.
• Present menus, take orders, and provide recommendations based on guest preferences.
• Serve food and beverages promptly while ensuring accuracy in orders.
• Handle cash transactions and process payments using POS systems such as Toast and Square
• Upsell menu items to enhance the dining experience and increase sales.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining area, including bussing tables as needed.
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely food preparation and delivery.
• Adhere to all food safety regulations and sanitation guidelines.
• Provide exceptional guest services by addressing any concerns or special requests promptly.

Skills

• Strong customer service skills with a focus on customer satisfaction.
• Experience with POS systems (Toast and Square)for efficient order processing.
• Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently.
• Ability to upsell menu items effectively to enhance guest experience.
• Basic math skills for handling cash transactions accurately.
• Previous restaurant or food industry experience is highly desirable, including roles such as host/hostess or kitchen staff.
• Hourly server wage plus tips. (Average is $800-1000/week)
