Duties

• Greet guests warmly and seat them promptly, ensuring a smooth and friendly check-in process
• Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Square POS and ensuring quick and precise entry
• Provide detailed menu descriptions, recommend specials, and upsell items to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales
• Serve food and drinks efficiently while maintaining high standards of food safety, sanitation, and presentation
• Manage guest relations by addressing questions, resolving concerns, and ensuring a positive dining experience
• Assist bussing tables, and maintaining cleanliness in dining areas to uphold sanitation standards

Qualifications

• Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments
• knowledge of POS systems including Square POS
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage guests warmly and professionally
• Ability to manage time effectively in a busy environment while multitasking between serving, bussing.
• Culinary experience or background in food handling is preferred but not required; willingness to learn is essential
• Knowledge of food safety regulations, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures
• Previous host/hostess or serving experience that demonstrates strong guest relations skills
• Basic math skills for cashiering, cash handling, and order calculations
• Experience with upselling techniques to maximize sales opportunities within the restaurant industry
