Job Overview

Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly and assist with seating arrangements to create a welcoming atmosphere
• Take accurate food and beverage orders, ensuring special dietary needs are accommodated
• Serve meals and drinks efficiently while maintaining high standards of presentation and cleanliness
• Assist with food preparation, plating, and presentation as needed in accordance with safety protocols
• Maintain cleanliness of dining areas, including clearing tables, bussing, and sanitizing surfaces
• Support the dietary department by handling food safely, adhering to sanitation guidelines, and managing food handling procedures
• Ensure timely delivery of orders, coordinate with kitchen staff, and manage multiple tables effectively
• Uphold excellent customer service standards by addressing guest inquiries promptly and courteously
• Assist with general kitchen duties such as cleaning, organizing supplies, and supporting meal preparation when required

Experience

• Previous experience in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, hospitals, or the food industry is highly desirable
• Experience in food production, food handling, serving, or dietary aide roles provides a strong foundation for success
• Familiarity with food safety practices, sanitation procedures, and kitchen operations is preferred
• Strong time management skills to balance multiple responsibilities efficiently
• Background in culinary arts or dietetics enhances understanding of meal preparation and dietary requirements
• Customer service experience demonstrates ability to engage positively with diverse guests or residents
• Prior kitchen experience including cooking, cleaning, bussing, or sanitation tasks is advantageous
