Duties

• Greet guests warmly upon arrival and assist with seating arrangements, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere
• Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, and relay them efficiently to the kitchen
• Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining high standards of presentation and sanitation
• Upsell menu items to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales opportunities
• Ensure food safety and sanitation standards are upheld during food handling, preparation, and serving processes
• Manage guest relations by addressing questions, resolving issues promptly, and ensuring a positive dining experience
• Assist with bussing tables, cleaning work areas, and supporting kitchen staff during busy periods to maintain smooth operations

Skills

• Proven experience with POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or OpenTable for order processing and cashiering
• Strong knowledge of food handling, sanitation practices, and food safety regulations in the food industry
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage guests professionally and courteously
• Ability to multitask efficiently in fast-paced environments like fine dining restaurants or nightclubs
• Effective time management skills to handle multiple tables while maintaining attention to detail
• Basic math skills for cash handling, billing accuracy, and inventory management
• Previous experience in restaurant service, host/hostess roles, or food industry settings preferred but not required
