Waitstaff / Hostess – Island Park Diner

Island Park Diner is looking for a dependable and friendly Waitstaff/Hostess to join our team. This role is focused on providing solid customer service, keeping things organized, and helping the dining room run smoothly.

Responsibilities:

• Greet and seat guests in a timely and professional manner
• Manage waitlists and reservations as needed
• Take and enter orders accurately using the POS system
• Provide attentive service and check in with guests during their visit
• Communicate with kitchen staff to ensure orders go out correctly and on time
• Answer phones and assist with takeout orders and basic inquiries
• Maintain a clean and organized dining area
• Address guest concerns calmly and professionally

Requirements:

• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Ability to stay organized in a fast-paced environment
• Team-oriented and reliable
• Previous restaurant or hospitality experience is helpful, but not required
• Familiarity with POS systems is a plus
