Duties

• Greet guests warmly and present menus with enthusiasm, providing detailed descriptions of dishes and specials.
• Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring all guest requests are noted clearly.
• Upsell menu items and beverages to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales opportunities.
• Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining high standards of presentation and sanitation.
• Check in with guests during their meal to ensure satisfaction, address any concerns promptly, and provide exceptional customer service.
• Handle cash and credit card transactions accurately through POS systems, including cash handling and basic math calculations.
• Maintain cleanliness of tables, assist with bussing, and support food preparation or kitchen staff as needed to uphold food safety standards.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a server or in food service roles, preferably within fine dining or upscale environments.
• Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or OpenTable for reservations and order management.
• Strong knowledge of food handling, sanitation practices, and food safety regulations.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage guests positively and handle guest relations professionally.
• Ability to manage time effectively during busy shifts while maintaining attention to detail.
• Experience in upselling beverages or menu items to maximize sales opportunities.
• Previous host/hostess or serving experience at nightclubs or restaurants is a plus.
• Culinary experience or kitchen knowledge is advantageous for understanding menu ingredients and preparation processes.
