Waitstaff/Server

Responsibilities

  • Greet guests warmly and present menus confidently, highlighting specials and upselling opportunities to enhance their experience
  • Take accurate orders using POS systems such as Lavu POS , ensuring all details are correct for timely delivery
  • Serve food and beverages efficiently while maintaining high standards of presentation and sanitation
  • Manage guest needs throughout their visit, addressing questions about menu items, wine pairings, or dietary restrictions with expertise
  • Handle cash transactions accurately through cashiering and cash handling procedures, including basic math calculations for bills and tips
  • Maintain cleanliness by bussing tables promptly, assisting with food handling and sanitation practices in accordance with food safety standards
  • Support team members during busy periods by assisting with food preparation or kitchen tasks as needed to ensure smooth service flow

Requirements

  • Previous restaurant or food service experience, in fine dining or nightclub settings preferred but not required. WE WILL TRAIN YOU!!!!
  • Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS; experience with OpenTable reservations is a plus BUT NOT REQUIRED!!
  • Strong customer service skills with the ability to build guest relations and handle diverse situations professionally
  • Knowledge of food safety protocols, sanitation standards, and proper food handling techniques
  • Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently during high-volume shifts
  • Culinary experience or kitchen background is advantageous for understanding food preparation processes
  • Ability to upsell menu items confidently to increase sales while maintaining guest satisfaction
  • Host/hostess or serving experience is desirable; basic math skills are essential for accurate cashiering and bill calculations

Pay: $12.77 - $30.00 per hour
