Duties

• Greet guests warmly and provide attentive, personalized service throughout their visit
• Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS, ensuring timely delivery
• Upsell menu items and specials to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales opportunities
• Manage tables efficiently by bussing, resetting, and maintaining cleanliness to uphold sanitation standards
• Handle cash transactions accurately, including cash handling and cashiering responsibilities
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure proper food preparation and timely service
• Utilize reservation systems like OpenTable to manage guest bookings and seating arrangements
• Maintain excellent guest relations by addressing questions, resolving issues promptly, and ensuring a positive dining experience
• Follow all food safety protocols, including proper food handling and sanitation procedures

Qualifications

• Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments, preferably with fine dining or nightclub backgrounds
• Strong knowledge of POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS; experience with OpenTable is a plus
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to upsell menu items confidently
• Culinary experience or food industry knowledge that enhances guest interactions
• Effective time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during busy hours
• Ability to perform basic math for billing, cash handling, and inventory purposes
• Experience with food safety standards, sanitation practices, and food handling procedures
• Previous host/hostess or serving experience is advantageous but not required; a positive attitude and eagerness to learn are essential
