Job Summary:
The Wall Painter is responsible for painting walls, panels, backdrops, and other surfaces for exhibition stands and event setups. The role ensures smooth, high-quality finishes that meet design specifications and project deadlines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare surfaces for painting, including cleaning, sanding, and priming walls, panels, and structures.
- Apply paint, varnish, or other finishes using brushes, rollers, or sprayers.
- Ensure even, smooth, and high-quality paint finishes according to approved designs and color schemes.
- Repair minor wall defects such as cracks or holes before painting.
- Mix paint and coatings accurately to achieve the desired colors.
- Collaborate with carpenters, spray painters, and installers to meet project timelines.
- Maintain painting tools, equipment, and materials in good condition.
- Follow safety protocols, including proper handling of paints, chemicals, and protective gear.
- Report any material shortages, defects, or on-site issues to the foreman or project manager.
- Keep the work area organized and clean at all times.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Wall Painter, preferably in exhibitions, events, or interior projects.
- Knowledge of painting techniques, surface preparation, and finishing materials.
- Attention to detail and high-quality workmanship.
- Ability to follow technical drawings or design specifications.
- Familiarity with safety standards in painting and chemical handling.
- Physical stamina for long hours of painting and standing.
