Wanted Urgently OSP / FTTH Cabling Supervisors

Job Summary

The OSP FTTH Site Supervisor is responsible for supervising and coordinating all Outside Plant (OSP) Fiber-to-the-Home (FTTH) construction, installation, and maintenance activities. The role ensures that all field operations are executed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project specifications, quality standards, and client requirements. The Site Supervisor manages field technicians, subcontractors, and resources to ensure timely project completion while maintaining high standards of workmanship and safety.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise daily FTTH OSP construction and installation activities.
  • Coordinate field teams, subcontractors, and technicians to achieve daily work targets.
  • Monitor fiber cable laying, duct installation, trenching, HDD works, blowing, pulling, and reinstatement activities.
  • Ensure proper installation of handholes, manholes, cabinets, distribution boxes, and fiber access terminals.
  • Coordinate fiber splicing, OTDR testing, power meter testing, and commissioning activities.
  • Verify that all work complies with client specifications, engineering drawings, and telecom standards.
  • Conduct daily toolbox talks and ensure compliance with HSE regulations.
  • Inspect completed works and rectify quality issues before client inspection.
  • Maintain daily progress reports, manpower reports, material consumption records, and productivity reports.
  • Coordinate with project engineers, planners, QA/QC engineers, and client representatives.
  • Monitor project schedules and ensure timely completion of assigned work.
  • Ensure availability of required materials, equipment, vehicles, and tools at site.
  • Resolve site-related technical issues and escalate major concerns to project management.
  • Attend site meetings and provide project progress updates.
  • Ensure proper restoration of roads, pavements, and surrounding infrastructure after civil works.
  • Enforce company policies, quality procedures, and safety standards throughout project execution.

Required Qualifications

  • Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Telecommunications, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in FTTH/OSP projects.
  • Minimum 2–3 years of supervisory experience in fiber optic network deployment.
  • Experience in telecom operators' FTTH projects is preferred.
  • Valid driving license is an advantage.

Technical Skills

  • Strong knowledge of FTTH architecture (GPON/XGS-PON).
  • Experience in OSP civil works, trenching, duct installation, and cable laying.
  • Knowledge of fiber blowing, pulling, fusion splicing, and termination.
  • Familiarity with OTDR testing, optical power meter testing, and acceptance testing.
  • Ability to interpret telecom drawings, route maps, and as-built documentation.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Knowledge of HSE standards and quality management systems.

  • Timely submission of daily, weekly, and monthly reports.
  • Customer and client satisfaction with project execution.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: QAR1,800.00 - QAR2,500.00 per month

License/Certification:

  • Driving license (Preferred)
