Job Title: Ward Boy

Location: UNITTAS Multispeciality Hospital – Tambaram - OMR

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Assist patients with mobility, shifting, and transportation within the hospital (wheelchair, stretcher, etc.).
• Help patients with daily activities such as feeding, bathing, dressing, and using the restroom (when required).
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the ward, patient rooms, and surrounding areas.
• Carry medical equipment, supplies, and documents as instructed by doctors or nurses.
• Support nurses in preparing patients for treatment, surgery, or diagnostic tests.
• Dispose of medical waste, used dressings, and ensure proper sanitation.
• Provide assistance during emergencies (helping shift patients, arranging equipment, etc.).
• Ensure patient comfort and respond promptly to their needs.
• Follow hospital safety, hygiene, and infection-control protocols strictly.
• Perform any other supportive tasks assigned by the medical or administrative team.

Qualifications & Skills Required:

• Minimum 10th pass (preferred but not mandatory).
• Prior experience as a Ward Boy/Hospital Attendant is an added advantage.
• Physically fit and able to handle patient lifting and movement.
• Basic understanding of hygiene and patient care.
• Good communication skills and cooperative attitude.
• Ability to work in rotational shifts, weekends, and emergencies.
