Job Summary : A Ward Boy (also known as Ward Attendant or Patient Care Assistant) supports patient care by assisting with mobility, hygiene, and daily needs in wards, OTs, and outpatient areas, ensuring smooth operations in sensitive.

Key Responsibility:

1. Assist patients with admission/discharge, mobility (e.g., wheelchair/stretcher transport to OTs, labs, or other departments), and positioning in beds.

2. Maintain patient hygiene by changing linens, bed sheets, bathing/dressing assistance, and cleaning patient rooms/wards.

3. Assist in serving meals or feeding, and help with patient comfort when needed (especially patients who cannot manage on their own).

4. Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the ward: clean patient rooms, beds, floors; change bed-linen, pillow covers, and ensure clean surroundings; manage soiled linen and waste disposal as per hospital protocols (including biomedical waste where applicable).

5. Ensure readiness and cleanliness of ward equipment.

6. Assist nurses and doctors as directed.

7. Assist medical / nursing staff in non-clinical tasks: delivering medical supplies, instruments, patient files, lab samples.

8. Respond to patient needs and emergencies: assist patients who call for help, provide support in case of mobility difficulties, ensure safe environment.

9. Be available for shift work / flexible timing.

10. Should have Basic knowledge in Electrical, AC, Plumbing.

11. Should have basic knowledge in Fire Extinguisher and Emergency Evacuation protocols.

Qualification:

10th, 12th pass or Schooling with Physical fitness / good stamina.

Experience:

1. Overall: 5 years of practical experience working in clinical or hospital wards assisting patients and supporting nursing staff.

2. Relevant: 1-2 years of experience in hospitals or healthcare settings is preferred to ensure knowledge of patient handling, hygiene maintenance, and infection control.

3. Age: 25-35 Years.

4. Experience in patient transport (wheelchair, stretcher), bed preparation, cleaning wards, assisting with patient hygiene, and following hospital safety protocols is valued.
