The Ward Nurse is responsible for delivering patient-centered nursing care in the general ward. They ensure patients receive safe, effective, and compassionate care, and assist in coordinating treatment plans with the healthcare team. This role includes monitoring patient progress, supporting daily activities, and maintaining clinical documentation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide routine and emergency nursing care to inpatients in accordance with hospital protocols and physician instructions.
  • Monitor patients’ vital signs, symptoms, and response to treatment.
  • Administer prescribed medications, IV infusions, and assist in minor procedures.
  • Assist patients with daily activities such as feeding, bathing, mobility, and hygiene.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of care provided and patient status in medical records.
  • Prepare and maintain patient care areas, including making beds, organizing supplies, and ensuring a clean environment.
  • Provide emotional support and health education to patients and their families.
  • Collaborate with physicians, physiotherapists, dietitians, and other team members to ensure holistic care.
  • Participate in handover reports, ward rounds, and multidisciplinary meetings.
  • Adhere to infection control guidelines, safety protocols, and hospital policies at all times.
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
  • Physically capable of assisting patients with mobility or lifting
  • Willingness to work night shifts, weekends, and holidays.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹22,000.00 per month
