Position Summary
The Warehouse and Logistics Coordinator is responsible for planning, coordinating, and monitoring transportation and logistics operations to ensure timely, cost‑effective, and compliant movement of goods throughout California and beyond. This role serves as a key liaison between carriers, warehouses, internal teams, and customers while ensuring adherence to federal, state, and local transportation regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate daily transportation activities, including scheduling pickups, deliveries, and routing.
- Communicate with carriers, freight brokers, and drivers to ensure on time and efficient deliveries.
- Monitor shipment status and proactively resolve delays, shortages, or damages.
- Maintain accurate logistics and transportation records in internal systems.
- Assist Senior Warehouse and Logistics Coordinator with cost control initiatives by analyzing freight costs and carrier performance.
- Collaborate with warehouse, procurement, and customer service teams to align logistics activities.
- Assist with audits, reporting, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Create packing lists for all outbound deliveries.
- Final audit of all shipments being delivered to customer by reviewing previously created packing lists of actual inventory.
- Escalate all shipping and inventory discrepancies (shortages, overages, and/or damages) to warehouse leadership.
- Follow company safety policies and California workplace safety standards.
Qualifications
Required
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 2+ years of experience in logistics, transportation, or supply chain coordination.
- Working knowledge of transportation regulations and freight operations.
- Proficiency with logistics software, ERP systems, and Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook).
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills· Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business, or related field preferred
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred
Key Competencies
- Strong understanding of freight movement, routing, and carrier coordination
- Knowledge of LTL, FTL, intermodal, and regional transportation networks, particularly within California
- Ability to manage shipping documentation, tracking, and delivery confirmation accurately
- Clear, professional communication with drivers, carriers, vendors, and internal teams
- Strong customer service mindset with the ability to resolve issues diplomatically
- Effective cross‑functional collaboration with warehouse, procurement, and customer service teams
Work Environment/Physical Requirements
- Exposure to warehouse conditions, including varying temperatures, noise, equipment, and dock environments.
- Frequent standing, walking, bending, reaching, and equipment operation.
- Company hours of operation are Monday through Friday, 8 am to 6 pm. Potential changes in the current schedule may include weekends, overtime, and peak season shifts depending on business needs.

- Role must comply with California wage and hour laws (meal/rest periods, overtime, and timekeeping requirements).
- Exempt status only if duties and salary meet California exemption thresholds.
- Heat illness prevention procedures may apply depending on facility type.
- Compliance with California labor posting, recordkeeping, and training requirements.
Pay: $25.00 - $28.00 per hour
